With the introduction of outcomes based education (OBE) in South Africa, our training section, which was formerly the Aquila Firearms Academy, recognised the need to adapt and, as we have always tried to remain both progressive and dynamic in our outlook and approach, we made the necessary modifications and changed.  We are now fully registered and accredited by the relevant authorities. 

The Aquila Assessment Centre was brought into being by the national standards that include criteria against which learners are evaluated for their knowledge, understanding, skills and abilities.

The Aquila Assessment Centre is registered with the South African Professional Firearm Trainers Council (SAPFTC) and Safety & Security Sector Education & Training Authority (SASSETA) and is accredited with the South African Police Services (SAPS) through the Aquila Training Academy to assess and moderate unit standards for which it is registered.
